The Hidden View Livestock Gas Project is a gas collection and destruction project via an enclosed anaerobic digester. Hidden View Dairy is classified as a greenfield project because the digester was built in conjunction with the facility.
Biogas is collected from the digestion of manure under anaerobic conditions and is destroyed by two engines, a boiler, and an open flare. The project gas flow and proof of operation data are monitored and collected in an online data management system. The system’s methane concentration is monitored quarterly via biogas samples sent to an independent lab for analysis.
